Our Staff...

We know that the success of your Venture Break depends on the care and professionalism of our staff. As a result our staff are highly trained and committed to ensuring your stay is safe and enjoyable. All of our staff are dedicated to providing a high standard of instruction and supervision for all STS groups. In addition to participating in National Governing Body courses and achieving professional qualifications, all of our staff are also put through an intensive local induction programme. To ensure our standards meet the high level our customers expect, STS also:

• Make certain all of our staff are subject to a background check
• Obtain proof of qualifications
• Ensure two references are sought

Code of Practice...

Our comprehensive Code of Practice details our high standard of safety for activity holidays. This code illustrates our attention to detail and has been developed in consultation with leaders of the relevant sports National Governing bodies.

STS Exclusive sites in the UK are part of our BAHA membership. Where we use 3rd party suppliers alternative safety and inspection systems are utilised. STS is a Full Member of the School Travel Forum. The School Travel Forum is a group of leading school tour operators who promote good practice and safety in school travel. All Full Members of the STF adhere to a rigorous Code of Practice and Safety Management Standards which meet the requirements of DCSF guidelines and are externally verified each year by suitably qualified independent Health and Safety professionals.

STS undertake to carry out an Accommodation Safety Audit on all of the centres in the Venture Breaks programme. This is a thorough audit covering essential areas of security and fire safety.

Fire Safety...

Each centre has its own fire safety procedure which will always include, as a minimum, a fire drill before the first overnight stay.
